DroneWatch Checkup
Post-flight health check for PX4

Check your drone after every flight

Drop in the flight logs from a PX4 quadcopter. Each vital is compared with 4,226 healthy flights of real drones and with your drone's own earlier flights, and the report tells you what to inspect.

  • Runs in your browser. Logs are never uploaded.
  • 19 vitals, from vibration to battery sag and GPS quality.
  • Free, with no account or installation.

Drop flight logs here

Single .ulg logs, the whole log folder from the SD card, or a saved logbook. You can drop them anywhere on the page.

For quadcopters running PX4 v1.14 or newer.
Where do I find the logs?

On the flight controller's SD card, in the log folder, which has one folder per day. You can also download them in QGroundControl under Analyze Tools, Log Download.

Example

Sample report

A real quadcopter from the PX4 public log archive.

How it works

Two comparisons for every vital

19 vitals per flight

Measured only while the drone is in the air: vibration, motor load and balance, battery sag, GPS and compass quality, and how closely it follows its own commands.

Compared with other drones

Each vital is placed among 4,226 healthy flights of 2,718 PX4 quadcopters with a similar battery. Amber means rarer than 1 in 400 healthy flights, red rarer than 1 in 2,000.

Compared with itself

From the sixth flight on, each vital is also checked against the drone's usual level, shown by the magenta marker. A change that holds for two flights is flagged even when it would be normal for another drone.

Normal

Nothing unusual. Fly after your usual preflight checks.

Keep an eye on it

Something is unusual, has changed, or PX4 itself raised a warning. Inspect what the report names before the next flight.

Check before next flight

A vital is far outside the range of healthy drones. Find the cause before flying again.
